UNEARTHING THE PAST

When ZARJAZ Editor Andrew Lewis handed the reins of the publication over to his successor, he charged his droids to consign the original proof pages to the ZARJAZ vault, little expecting that one day they might be required again.

Now more than 20 years later the vault has been re-opened and those original pages unearthed in order to compile the ZARJAZ VOL 1 #1 FACSIMILE EDITION.

Some of the pages had mysteriously vanished, later to be found hidden amongst other materials stored nearby. Others seemed to have been damaged at some stage, with folds and tears in evidence. Still more had inexplicable stains on them...

 

 

Needless to say, the droids responsible for such negligence were dispatched immediately to offer their excuses to Mek-Quake and have since found more gainful employment recycled as containment vessels for canine nutrition products.

Fortunately ZARJAZ now benefits from the expertise of several highly efficient technologically advanced droids, chief amongst them Brett Burbridge who as well as being a remarkable illustrator, letterer and all round good egg, also knows how to remedy the faults of others and has restored the pages their original blemish-free state.

The results will be available for all to see when the ZARJAZ VOL 1 #1 FACSIMILE EDITION is published in February 2025.
